BriefOur Client is a leading global Group in hospitality industry. As their Executive Search Consultants, we are searching a Senior Internal Auditor.

In this function, you are taking a global role within Internal Audit organization of the Group. Main purpose of this organization is to create the 3rd line of defense, so that the challenges from the risk and internal controls management can be addressed in the best possible way. You are responsible for performing operational and financial audits to ensure risk and control environment in the Group.

The Senior Internal Auditor has a solid reporting line to the Head of Internal Audit. Furthermore, she/he works in close coordination with the Head of Internal Audit to conduct special audit assignments received from senior management and/or Group Compliance.

Main tasks/ responsibilities
- Perform internal audits and risk assessments for the Group on business models, processes and digital solutions to ensure risk & control environment,
- Conduct desktop process analytics, auditing procedures and work on own audit fields for the improvement of internal control systems, governance, business, and financial,
- Performing risk assessments to identify the main risks and existing controls,
- Evaluating the efficiency of existing controls and improve them continuously,
- Develop solutions for digital analysis and automation of internal controls.
- Performing data analysis to identify unusual items or trends and investigate remarkable findings,
- Recording audit findings and preparing internal audit reports
- Discussing the control and process weaknesses identified during the audit with management and perform proactive follow-up with management regarding outstanding remedial action items,
- Conducting special audit assignments and forensic audits on request from Compliance
- Providing advisory/consultancy services, as needed, for specific risks identified,
- Drive the department’s journey towards a more network, performance-oriented audit organization
- Build a network across different business segments and functions

Qualifications
- A university degree in business, engineering, computer science, natural sciences or mathematics
- Minimum of 5 years of business experience within the areas of auditing, data analytics, process improvement, ERP systems, process mining or hands-on experience in a business process
- Highly developed understanding of financial accounting practices
- Strong problem resolution and facilitation skills
- Good communication and multi-language skills (English and cluster relevant language)
- Expert skills in Excel, Access, HTML programming (or equivalent)
- Outstanding analytical and conceptual skills
- High capacity for teamwork and co-operation
- Self-motivated and result-oriented professional
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels of an organization
- Willing to travel
